Crystal Castles - Not In Love (Live at Coachella 2011)

…from the album: Crystal Castles II

They were easily the best Friday Coachella set I managed to catch.

…but, Honorable Mention would go to: Sleigh Bells (2).

I guess, that day, two-piece female fronted electronic groups were my jam.

Did you go to Coachella? What was your favorite set on Friday?

Coachella Valley Music Festival is SOLD the hell out.
Already.
…the rest of you will have to deal with the scalpers, if you are hell-bent on going.

A group of friends I’ve linked up with has an ongoing email thread about the event and collectively plans out how all the group madness will go down. One of such emails included a link to this blog, which allows you to EASILY look into/discover all the different bands playing on the Coachella Music Festival. Useful info!

I’m excited…because, as opposed to my normal-procrastinating-self, I actually got my ticket on time this year! Sweetness. Hate on ‘huge music festivals’ all you like; I’m going for the experience…not just the amazing lineup.
Speaking of the amazing lineup…here it is:

Dynamite With A Laserbeam - Queen As Heard Through the Meat Grinder of Three One G

New record!
I bought this from an acquaintance here in San Diego, J.P, who also happens to be in The Locust (one of the bands on the compilation), as well as having a hand in running the local record company Three One G. He was rad enough to send me a copy of his new band’s cd with the record (which I am also a fan of) called All Leather. I’ve seen them play… They are definitely legit; both live, and on recording.

All the links are clickable. Check them out.

This is just getting me more excited to go retrieve my other records/record player from storage in San Francisco, this weekend. Hope you all have a good time in Coachella!
